Company import starter — domain-first so HubSpot deduplicates correctly, with a no-website fallback row.

Company records are HubSpot's account layer, and this template bulk-creates them domain-first — because Company Domain Name is how HubSpot deduplicates companies and auto-associates contacts whose emails share the domain. Import companies before contacts and the associations largely take care of themselves.
The example rows model the two shapes that matter: a standard company keyed by domain, and the no-website fallback (a local business without a domain), which imports fine but won't auto-associate — its contacts need explicit association.
| Company Domain Name | The deduplication and auto-association key — one clean domain, no protocol or path. |
|---|---|
| Name | Company display name. |
| Industry | Ideally matched to HubSpot's picklist values so filters and reports group cleanly. |
| Phone Number | Main line, country code included. |
| City | Headquarters city. |
| State/Region | One convention per file — spelled out or abbreviated. |
| Country | Full country name. |
| Company Owner | Exact HubSpot user name or email. |
| Annual Revenue | Plain number, no currency symbols or thousands separators — formatting characters break the numeric property. |
By email domain: a contact whose email matches a company's Company Domain Name gets associated when automatic association is enabled in portal settings. Free-domain contacts (gmail.com) never auto-associate — those need manual or import-based association.
They import fine with an empty domain, but deduplication and auto-association won't protect them — re-imports can duplicate them, and contacts must be associated explicitly. Worth inventing nothing: leave the domain empty rather than faking one.
Usually no — migrations are the best pruning opportunity you'll ever get. Import active and recent accounts; archive the rest in a spreadsheet. Our CRM cleanup audit template is built for exactly this decision.
This is a Market Disrupt worksheet, not a vendor file. Import-format templates follow each platform's documented layout as of July 2026 — platforms evolve, so validate against current documentation before a large import.
