Six months from now, someone will stare at a campaign called 'New Campaign (3) - Copy' and try to reconstruct what it was for. Naming conventions are boring until the account has forty campaigns, three managers, and a report nobody can group — then they're the difference between analysis and archaeology.
This worksheet defines one pattern per account level — campaigns, ad groups, ads, conversions, audiences, and shared lists — with a filled example for each. Adopt ours or write your own; the value is that a pattern exists, is written down, and survives team changes.
| level | Account level the pattern applies to — campaign, ad group, ad, conversion, audience, shared list. |

| pattern | The naming template with segment placeholders. |
| example | A real name following the pattern. |

No — names are labels. Performance history, smart bidding learning, and reporting stats all survive renames untouched. It's the rare cleanup that is genuinely free, which is why there's no excuse to keep 'New Campaign (3) - Copy'.
The ones reports group by: objective or funnel stage, network/channel, geography, and product line if you run several. Our pattern models that set — cut what you never slice by, because unused segments are just noise in every export.
Yes — align campaign names with your utm_campaign pattern (our UTM naming convention template pairs with this one) so ad platform reports and analytics reports group identically. Attribution reconciliation gets dramatically easier when the names agree.
This is a Market Disrupt worksheet, not a vendor file. Import-format templates follow each platform's documented layout as of July 2026 — platforms evolve, so validate against current documentation before a large import.
